In addition, we handle the registration of intellectual property (Copyright and Trade Marks) for individual and corporate clients.

From time to time we have been engaged in the restructuring of various entities including limited liability companies and partnerships. The restructuring would typically take the form of raising capital, reorganisation of capital (mergers, acquisitions) and even conversion of corporate forms.

The Firm also advises clients considering reorganisation and restructuring of their companies and organisations.

Musyimi & Company advises on private equity transactions including those involving the acquisition of shareholding in Kenyan investment targets. In addition to shareholding, we advise on other investment options including the issuance of loan notes, debentures, preference shares and other instruments by Companies.

We also have a background in assisting clients with the formation of joint ventures.

The Firm advises on the obtaining of approvals from regulatory authorities including the Capital Markets Authority and the Competition Authority of Kenya in respect to transactions by organisations operating in Kenya.

The Firm has a vast knowledge of requirements and procedures concerning applications for work permits, permanent residence status and citizenship. These include the area of regaining citizenship, dual citizenship and acquiring a dependent status for spouses and children of individuals holding a work permit in Kenya.
